Metropolitan State University Graduation Procedures
Contact the Graduation Office (651-793-1231) after you
have registered for your final coursework and before the
deadline listed in the University
Calendar. Follow this
link for additional information related to graduation.
Contact your advisor about completing the graduation nomination
process. This process can be completed in person or through
the mail. Your advisor will review your requirements, verify
whether you will be completing your requirements and, if
so, submit forms to nominate you to graduate upon completion
of your final courses.
The Graduation Office will send you information about
the commencement ceremony. Commencement ceremonies are held
each fall and spring semester. Summer graduates are encouraged
to attend the following fall commencement. Graduation
Expo, held on a Saturday each fall and spring, provides
one way to pay fees, order graduation robes, select graduation
announcements, and take care of other related business,
but the Graduation Office will make special arrangements
if you cannot attend the Graduation Expo.
Attend
the commencement ceremony! Although it is not required,
attending the ceremony with your family, friends, and classmates
is a great opportunity to celebrate your accomplishment.
The Registrar’s Office will confirm that all of
your final courses are completed successfully and mail your
diploma about 6-8 weeks after the end of the term. |
