Although academic advisors can help when you have questions
about your requirements and what you need to complete to graduate,
you should also track your progress toward completing your degree.
If you plan to complete an Associates degree from partner
institutions, visit the respective
partners' web site to check off the requirements as
you complete them.
If you plan to complete the B.S. from Metropolitan State
University, use your General Education and Liberal Studies
(GELS) Worksheet to track completion of the GELS requirements.
Depending on your major, choose one of the checklist and
flowchart below to help plan your course sequence and track
completion of your major requirements.

When you are admitted to
the program,
an advisor will provide you with a major checklist that
identifies which requirements have been satisfied by
transfer
courses. From that point on, you can track your progress
towards your degree.
Contact your advisor about a year before you plan to graduate
to be sure you know which requirements you still need to
complete and to develop a plan for finishing your requirements.

Degree Audit Report (DARS): The DARS system is a computer
program that automatically tracks which requirements you
have completed and which you still need to complete. This
system is still under development and plans to be implemented
in fall 2006.
