Degree Requirements

Working together, Metropolitan State University and partner institutions provide a flexible set of options that enable you to complete your business degree online efficiently and effectively. You can combine college courses you have taken previously, lower-division courses offered online by partner institutions, and upper-division courses offered by Metropolitan State to meet your goals.

Depending on your situation, you may choose to:

• Complete the A.S. in Business at a partner institution, then move on to the B.S.from Metropolitan State.
• Complete only the A.S. in Business at a partner institution.
• Complete only the B.S.from Metropolitan State, taking courses at a partner institution to fill in lower-division general education and major foundation courses as necessary.

If you are starting your college education or have relatively few college credits, begin by working on the A.S. in Business. Earning your degree will open some career options for you, and if you take the recommended general education courses, will complete your general education and major foundation requirements if you choose to go on to the B.S. degree.

If you already have an Associate’s degree, or have many of the general education and foundation courses completed with previous coursework, plan to complete the B.S. degree taking courses at a partner institution as necessary to fill any gaps in your general education and foundation courses.
