About Us and Welcome

Why Choose This Program?

In an effort to ensure access to Web-based and other electronic resources and services, the Federal and State of Minnesota governments have enacted an assortment of laws that require government Web sites to be accessible to persons with disabilities.

Accessible Web pages are constructed to be useable by anyone, even if they are using assistive technology to access the Web page. Examples of assistive technology are screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice recognition software, alternative keyboards, and braille displays. For more complete information please visit MnSCU's accessibility Web site.

In order to comply with federal and state requirements, all Web pages in the Business Online Web site must be developed with accessibility in mind. Web developers use a checklist to ensure that the Web pages are accessible. Level 1 is the minimum compliance and covers the basic areas. Additional levels will be added in the future. If you have any questions please contact the Webmaster.
