Attention:
To qualify for priority registration for a given term, you
need to apply several weeks before registration begins for
that term. We need about two weeks to process your application
and you need a few weeks to complete Business Online Orientation
before you can register as a Business Online student. Please
follow this link for application deadlines.

Business Online has only a few admission requirements.
To become a Business Online student, you must first be
admitted to Metropolitan State University.

If you have no prior college credits or have completed
the equivalent of 30 credits or less of college, then
you should apply to a
partner institution for admission. At a partner
insitution you can complete the general education requirements
of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum and, if you choose,
earn the A.S. in Business.

If you have already completed the equivalent of 30
credits or more of college and wish to earn a B.S. degree,
then you should apply to
Metropolitan State University. At Metropolitan State,
you can complete the foundation courses for your Business
Online major as well as the core, required, and elective
courses for your major.
- If your GPA is below the 2.5 minimum requirement for
Business Online you can still take courses online at Metropolitan
University as long as you have satisfied the prerequisites
and remain in good academic standing.
Business Online’s minimum GPA requirement ensures that students
have the academic skills to succeed in the online programs. To meet
this requirement, you must have:
