2007-2008 Tuition Rates Set at Metropolitan State

Effective with Fall Semester 2007 courses, the per-credit cost for undergraduate online Internet courses is $232.43. For undergraduate students, a three-credit online course will cost $697.29. A four-credit online course will cost $929.72. The online Internet course tuition rate applies to Minnesota residents and non-residents alike.

The rate increases continue the trend being experienced in Minnesota and across the nation of shifting more of the costs of higher education to students. The online Internet course tuition rates also reflect the relatively higher costs of training faculty to teach online and develop online course sites. Increased tuition revenues from the online Internet course rate will directly support development and maintenance of the online programs at Metropolitan State.

Metropolitan State and its partner institutions have different tuition and fee structures. Therefore, if you are taking courses at more than one institution, the tuition and fees you pay for each course will be different. If you take courses from both Metropolitan State and a partner institution simultaneously, you must complete a “Financial Aid Consortium Agreement.” You must complete this agreement for each term during which you take courses simultaneously at more than one institution.
